Typically, when Homestead wedding photographers think of a tropical wedding we often think about destinations in Bahamas, Jamaica or other exotic places. Places where the soft blue water laps at the powder white sand beaches and coconut palms sway gently to the fresh breeze. The Historic Walton House in Homestead Florida has no beaches, however, it is a tropical paradise like no other. The Walton House boasts a romantic Historical cottage which was built in 1917 by W.K. Walton and surrounded by acres of lush tropical foliage and flora. To top it off, the property is home to an exotic collection of macaws, parrots, flamingos, peacocks, cranes, giant tortoises, and monkeys. This tranquil and romantic venue offers brides from all over an ideal place to have a tropical affair and let their imagination run wild.

Here at White House Wedding Photography, our wedding photographers couldn’t have been more grateful for the opportunity to photographed Chris and Nadine at this romantic venue and to share it with everyone. For the shoot, Nadine wore a beautiful Cielo gown by Bijou Bridal and Special Occasions of Coral Gables. Unlike the traditional veil, this gown has a beautiful detachable cape which wraps around the upper front of the gown and extends down the back of the gown looking more like a cathedral veil than a cape. Her makeup was beautifully done by April South of Faces by April and hair by Stanton Mark of Hair by Stanton Mark. Chris wore a custom made blue suit accented by birds of paradise boutonniere created by florist Leda with Geranio’s Flowers, an orange pocket square and silver cuff links with blue stones, compliments to wardrobe stylist Sandra Molina from VIP Style Company who is credited for selecting and sourcing wardrobe and accessories for the bride and groom. Nadine and Chris were amazingly beautiful together and a complete joy to photograph. They interacted well together, always displaying the tender love and affection that is forthcoming at this lovers’ paradise.

We know, we know, this is only a style shoot right? Yes, yes and yes – but with a few guest and an officiant, this could have been a real wedding. Thanks to the amazing and creative event planning and design professional Alina Moleta who was responsible for sourcing and decorating the sweetheart table and coordinating with the venue manager to make this shoot happen. The beautiful and one of kind cake with all its live flowers were created by the talented pastry chef Jennifer Hernandez of Jenni’s Sweets-N- Treats.

The Walton House is located at 28501 SW 187th Ave. Miami, Florida, just 30 minutes South of Miami International Airport and is ideally suited for weddings, special events, and filming of movies and commercial photo shoots. It is a perfect venue for couples who want to tie their knot amidst nature and experience the romance and beauty of being one with plants and animals.
